Bikram Yoga Lake County Teachers
Justine Batie
Justine was born in the late 60’s in Berkeley, and grew up in a typical 70’s lifestyle which included travelling around the country on a bus with her stoned parents. While her mother was not dabbling in Satanic cult worshiping, she was teaching Hatha Yoga. Justine was fortunate enough to escape at an early age, but she does have fond memories of her mom teaching her yoga. Justine rebelled against her hedonistic upbringing and embraced red neck living in Lake County, Ca, where she studied Bikram Yoga under Lynn Whitlow in exchange for Boxer puppies. When her children were old enough, she enrolled in Bikram Yoga Teacher Training. Justine now owns her own yoga studio, Bikram Yoga Lake County, located a stone’s throw from Clearlake, the largest lake in California (bigger than Tahoe).
Brittany Reams
I began practicing yoga when I was sixteen. After every class I felt empowered and full of energy. As my favorite saying goes “Life is a mirror and what you see out there, you must first see inside of you.” Yoga made me curious about who I am. In 2010, at twenty years old, I became a Bikram Yoga teacher. I feel blessed that I found this yoga and now am able to teach what I know.
Sarah Inderhees
Sarah has practiced yoga for almost 15 years, but it wasn't until she moved to Taiwan that she took her first Bikram class and would later do her teacher training. Originally from Michigan, Sarah arrived to California after saying goodbye to her Taiwanese home of 4 years. Sarah has kept busy during her stay in Northern California teaching Bikram classes in San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, and Lake Counties as well as taking on the newly loved Inferno Hot Pilates.
Weeden Wetmore
A ruggedly handsome college student. He learned interval and strength training in high school football, wrestling, and weightlifting. Students can count on Weeden bringing heat, humor, hyperbole, and the hardest class in the world into the practice room.
Jennifer Clarke
Jennifer’s yoga practice began at five years old learning inverted postures from her grandmother. Since then for the past 20 years she has practiced Hatha, Bikram, Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga. Balancing on her head, hands and feet has enabled her to experience physical, mental and spiritual health beyond what other ordinary activities of life might offer. Via Miami, Florida, where she taught Vinyasa Flow classes, she now makes her home in Lake County, CA, sharing her contagious enthusiasm with us. Jennifer recently completed Inferno Hot Pilates Teacher Training and reignited yet a new passion for synchronizing body and mind. Whether she is teaching Tuesday night’s Vinyasa Flow Yoga or Inferno Hot Pilates, she provides her students the space to heal, connect with others and create a joy filled life.
Ane Drolma
Ane Drolma is a long time student of Tibetan Buddhism. She has been a student of Sogyal Rinpoche (author of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying) for nearly 40 years. Ane translates from Tibetan to English as meaning nun, and this she has been for 20 years. Ane Drolma has also accomplished the traditional 3 year retreat at her retreat center, Lerab Ling in France, where she was resident for several years. She has a MA in counseling psychology and has worked with families and teens and volunteered for hospices as a spiritual support and advisor. Ane Drolma loves teaching meditation and would be happy to also offer a class for children and for teens. Before becoming a nun she was married and raised four children, one of whom is Justine Batie. Ane Drolma is now the happy grandmother of eleven grandchildren!
Geo
Geo has been practicing yoga for over 20 years, primarily as a healing practice. Much of that time was spent building and running an ashram in Northern California, where he studied with his teacher, Baba Hal. He is always learning, and has continued his education, most recently at a training with Ganga White and Tracy Rich of the White Lotus Foundation.
His focus is on learning to love and nurture our bodies by learning to listen to the messages they give us. His passion is to share yoga with those who feel that they could never do it, and is fond of saying that, “Practicing yoga, at it's core, is about learning to love yourself exactly the way you are in this moment.”
Aantje Breitkopf
I was born and grew up in Berlin, Germany, and there I started dancing at the age of 5, taking Ballet and Modern Dance classes for over 10 years. In my early twenties I began practicing yoga, Tai Chi, and Meditation. Also I have travelled a lot, have been all around Europe, and also to Africa, Asia, South and North America. In 2014 I quit my job at a German University and went to travel again, came to California and met my now husband here. In 2016 we moved to Lake County and are slowly getting settled here. At the moment I teach movement/dance classes and guide a monthly women's circle at Bikram Yoga Lake County.
